A short drive from Owl Point is Acadia National Park, the only national park on the eastern coast. Enjoy 158 miles of hiking trails, and 45 miles of carriage roads. And don't miss a post-hike reservation (pop-overs and Arnold Palmers) at Jordan Pond House.
Or drive to nearby Stonington and take the ferry out to Isle au Haut to hike a much quieter and very special corner of Acadia.
Closer to home, you can drive into town and take a hike up to the top of Blue Hill itself. From there you can see all the potential adventures around you.
Blue Hill and the surrounding area has some of the finest dining on the east coast. Plan ahead and score a table at The Lost Table in Freedom or Aragosta in Deer Isle. Or grab a table in town at Arborvine. The acclaimed Tinder Hearth Bakery is close by in Brooksville and their amazing bread is available at the Blue Hill Wine Shop and the local Blue Hill Co-op.
The amazing Wine Shop also hosts a wonderful Wine Bar on weekends that is not to be missed. Of course you can always stay home and whip up a gourmet meal on our 48-inch professional oven.

Blue Hill and the towns around it, especially Belfast, Stonington, and Bar Harbor have a wonderful array of galleries, antique shops, and craft stores.
Blue Hill is also home to the country's premiere chamber music festival at Kneisel Hall.
